Text Node

The Text node allows you to display strings in your VRML world. This node has the following fields:
  • string contains the text to be displayed. This field can have one or more lines of text. In case of multiple lines each line is a string.
  • fontStyle specifies a FontStyle node. This node lets you define how the text is presented.
  • length specifies the length of each string in VRML units, not in character units. If the string is too short it is scaled, if it is too large it is compressed. A value of 0 means that the string should neither be expanded nor compressed. By default this is a list of zero values.
  • maxLength limits, scaling down if necessary, all strings in the field string.

  • Syntax:
    Text {
    string [ ]
    fontStyle NULL
    length [ ]
    maxExtent 0.0
    }
