This is the third book of the shader X series (A sort of Game Programming Gems for shaders), but the first one to provide material in GLSL. However the three shading languages (GLSL, HLSL, and Cg) are so close to each other that is easy to follow code written in any of them as long as you are familiar with one of them.

Windows Game Programming for Dummies
André LaMothe
0764516787
André LaMothe has accomplished to write about windows programming in a simple and easy to follow style. Using this book you´ll be able to set up a window and use the mouse and keyboard using DirectInput. Although this is not a book about OpenGL I find it very useful. OpenGL is ´just´ a graphics API, and in order to build an application you need to know how to programme for a particular OS.
